
Bloomingdale Psychological offers a condensed weekend program
for DUI offenders. It fulfills the requirement for the number of
hours needed to complete Track 1. This program is for first-time
offenders who have been court mandated to receive drug and alcohol
education.
This confidential seminar convenes on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00
AM to 4:00 PM. Participants are involved in group discussions and
exposed to videos and handouts. Upon completing the ten-hour course,
a Certificate of Completion is awarded. Topics cover addiction,
alcohol, and its effects on the brain, the etiology of alcoholism
and other substance use issues.
Therapists also conduct individual counseling for drug and alcohol
abuse and addiction. Additionally educational workshops are offered
for school programs and other community groups. Our therapists are
certified drug and alcohol counselors who are experienced in
coaching individuals to drug and alcohol sobriety.
