Bloomingdale Psychological Services provides Psychological Testing and Assessment for children and adults. We have a comprehensive assortment of assessment batteries that address cognitive functioning, neuropsychological functioning, career development and personality tests.

Typical Areas of Testing

Intelligence testing; testing related to specific strengths and weaknesses such as memory, attention, visual-motor integration; achievement testing; screening of social and emotional functioning; personality testing to help assess career and relationship issues.

School Testing

Sometimes the school system will provide testing free of charge. Usually the child must be more than one your below grade level. Also the school may not cover all the areas noted above. At Bloomingdale Psychological Services children can be tested for Gifted classes or when changing to private schools or simply to assess strengths and weaknesses.

Use in Therapy

Testing can guide treatment planning and goal setting for therapy and inform recommendations for educational services and psychotropic medications. This often occurs with patients who suspect they have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Testing can be useful with career goals and assisting with anger management difficulties.

Treatment Outcomes

You will be provided with a detailed report of the test data, interpretation, and recommendations. We will discuss all these components in detail at our final meetings.
